Inappropriate or not, the dress that LiLo wore to court today is already selling out in online stores. That didn't take long. The Basic Instinct-ish mid-thigh length white dress is causing a huge fuss. I'm trying to find a cheaper version of the dress, one more affordable for us common folk, but all I can see is that the dress is retailing for $575 and may still be available thru Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, and ShopBop. Reasons YOU might be single this Valentine's Day

As Valentine's Day approaches, those of us that are without that special someone in our life begin to roll our eyes at all the heart and flowers and champagne bs. BUT....it has come to my attention that some may not realize nor understand the reason they are still single....and it has nothing to do with them being picky. Alison's Closet Blog talks about fashion...so we are going to discuss the fashion of photos that some poor souls have displayed on dating websites to more fully understand why they are still single and maybe what we do NOT want to copy.

Example 1. If you are on a dating website and EVERY photo you have has you surrounded by women....you don't look cool....You look like a douche....especially when you pair those photos with Ed Hardy shirts, yea...we know it's Ed Hardy even from behind the tree you are trying to disguise it with

Example 2. If EVERY photo you put on your profile involves you drinking something..... You don't look like you like to have a good time...You look like a complete drunk.... and if I wanted to see that I would just look at my friend's facebook pages.

Example 3. If your profile reads..."Just Once"....Maybe you need to just go ahead and give up

Example 4.Finally.... IF your goatee look more like something some girl should've had waxed off YEARS ago....you probably shouldn't put a photo up of it....It look like gross porn

V-Day is a week away!!

Valentine's Day is a tough one. It's not a holiday like Christmas where you can go balls to the wall with a the biggest and bestest gift ever. I like to think of V-Day as a good time for a simple little "hey, I love you" reminder. On the other hand, there are some that appraoch the day with a "Hey!! I'm going to drown us both in a sea of pink and red hearts because I LOVE YOU!!!!" This is a quintessential less-is-more situation. Here are a couple do's and don't's for Valentine gift giving.

DON'T!!!!!

The Heart Boxers have been done over and over and over..... Yes, they are cute and they make you giggle, but they probably make him sigh in defeat. Wouldn't you rather give him something he can wear with pride?? Such as.....

The Modern Fanny Pack

"Fanny Pack"...... Just hearing those two words together is enough to inspire an "Ugh" reaction out of almost anyone. I'm pretty sure everyone's mom had one. However, as trends usually do, the butt bag is making a come back, with a new twist of course. And a new name, Belt Purses. Raw Denim

Raw denim is denim that isn't washed after it's dyed during it's production. It also hasn't been pre-faded or distressed to give it that "I'm a painter/carpenter on the weekends" look that consumers seem to dig so much. Raw denim isn't pre-shrunken either. All of that is left up to YOU. To break in a pair of dry denim jeans, and achieve that perfect like-a-glove fit, wearers have been known to soak in the tub with their jeans on, hang their unwashed denim for days, do many rounds of lunges, sleep in them, etc. Sounds like torture, but totally worth it. In the words of Garth Algar in Wayne's World, "It's like a new pair of underwear. At first it's constrictive, but after a while it becomes a part of you."
