Sig Style

At first, my new years resolution for 2011 was to NOT have a new years resolution, but I thought about it, and I think I've decided on a good one. This year I will surround myself with the people that inspire me, make me laugh, and compliment my personality. I'm very fortunate to have a group of friends that provide me with all those things and more. First of all, when I'm with these people I'm rarely NOT belly laughing, usually to the point of tears. I'm not mediating between two friends bickering about stupid drama. I'm comfortable, I'm at ease, overall, their company opens up the dopamine flood gates in my brian. Suzanne, what does this have to do with fashion???? Here it comes.....

Whether it's a certain accessory, a hairstyle, a color palate, or a certain denim cut that you prefer, in the same way that you should surround yourself with people that compliment your personality, you're style should do the same. It's your signature style that helps to feel the most comfortable, free, and well..... alive. Could be something as simple as the HUGE ring you like to wear, or those 1950 style fire engine red sunglasses. Your signature style should give people a good idea about who you are before you even open your mouth. That cute, light summer dress shows you have a laid back approach to life, while that pin striped pencil skirt and killer pumps reveal a spotlight seeking professional outlook.

As we can see on the covers of magazines in the line at the grocery store, some signature styles speak louder than others....
